Vaulty allows you to take all the photos on your Android device and keep them away from prying eyes will still leaving them accessible to you. PCs and Macs may come with a whole wealth of safety features, but your options are a whole lot more limited when it comes to mobile devices. Vaulty provides you with a whole plethora of options that allow you to secure your photos without having to acquire specific technical knowledge. And it works with both traditional photos and videos.
This is largely accomplished through the creation of a private gallery. Any photo or video that you want to keep private can be moved to this gallery with a simple press of your finger at which point it will be only accessible when your designated password or PIN is typed in. It's a basic form of security functionality but one that works respectably well. Even cooler is the inclusion of a mugshot feature. When someone tries to gain unauthorized access to your gallery, your phone will automatically take a picture using the built in camera so you can see who the culprit was. You have full control over the circumstances that trigger the mugshot feature.
And while Vaulty's main focus may be to provide an extra layer of security to your locally stored pictures and videos, it also provides you with the backup tools you need to recover them in case your phone is stolen or lost. All of the files hidden in your Vaulty gallery will automatically be uploaded to a secure cloud server, and when you get a new phone, you can download them in bulk to your new device by just downloading Vaulty and entering your login credentials. It's a recovery system that provides you with the assurance you need while still keeping your privacy intact.
Since your files are stored in a hidden vault, that means that accessing them means making use of a proprietary gallery system. Fortunately, Vaulty has done a good job of creating a versatile interface that gives you most of the features you'd expect from a traditional mobile gallery and editing app. You can use your camera privately and automatically have the results stored to your Vaulty gallery, and you can even accomplish basic editing functions right through the interface. And if you decide that you want to share your private photos or videos with friends, you don't need to move it back into your public folder. Export functions are built right in.
It also comes with a full suite of organizational options. You can select multiple videos and photos for management and sort the files in your vault according to a variety of different criteria. You can also rename all of your files. Vaulty even allows you to create multiple different vaults so you can more accurately compartmentalize your private files.
